The Stern Center for Developmental and Behavioral Health's Treatment Philosophy is "The experiences and illuminations of childhood and early youth, become later in life, the types, standards,and patterns of all subsequent knowledge and experience; the categories in which all things are classified. And so it is in our childhood years that the foundation is laid of our later view of the world, and with that, our perception of its superficiality or depth: it will be in later years unfolded and fulfilled, not changed. It is the goal of The Stern Center to insure that our clients are in the best position for this unfolding and fulfillment."
The Stern Center prides itself on being a qualitative, specialized provider. Ongoing staff development, including extensive training in innovative approaches to therapy, has always been a high priority at The Stern Center. Our commitment to the development of our staff members has resulted in many long-term, highly specialized, qualified professionals. The Stern Center is proud to be a member of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS), a nationally recognized organization which develops specific standards of service and education to professionals who provide critical emotional care to trauma victims and survivors. ATSS certified members are dedicated to excellence in training, education, and experience to ensure that victims of crime, war, terrorism and disasters receive the most compassionate and effective care.
Recently, Carole was elected as the President of (ACEP) Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology, an internationally recognized organization of professionals.
The Stern Center Currently accepts most major medical insurance including, Medicaid, UPMC, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, MHNET, Medical Assistance, Value Behavioral Health, and numerous other types of insurances.
