Our quality focus of the the treatment of mental health includes the policy stating that in order to recieve Medication Management through the Stern Center, an Individual must be participating in another type of therapy to treat the symptoms causing the presenting concerns. This is our Policy in an effort to discourage the dependance on medication and work towards managing symptoms through all available resources. This policy also makes program collaborations efficient and effective.

Ahmed Jahangeer, MD (Connellsville Office) Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Dr Ahmed Jahangeer MD is an Adult and Child Psychiatrist who provides medication management and therapy to Stern Center Clients. He sees patients at the Connellsville Office. Dr. Jahangeer did his specialized Psychiatry internship at the St Elizabeth Hospital at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He continued his Psychiatry Residency at Delaware Psychiatric Center at Temple University, and later completed a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, which is located in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Jahangeer has worked at Excela Health system for 5 years and currently medical
Director for Milestone Centers, Community Mental Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
He is a Consultant for Adelphoi Village.

Dr. Jahangeer’s clinical interests include Mood Disorders, Disorders of Childhood, like ADHD, developmental and behavioral disorders and Anxiety spectrum of disorders.

Anjali Medhekar,MD (Cranberry Office) Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Anjali Medhekar is a Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist that practices as the attending Psychiatrist at Allegheny General Hospital.  Dr Medhekar, MD has been a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Pittsburgh Psychiatric Society since 2001.
